Foothill Ranch Elementary School Newsletter 12-07-10

Book Drive
Foothill Ranch Elementary School has been asked to sponsor a Book Drive to benefit a select group of elementary school classrooms and their students within the SVUSD. Please search your home high and low for gently used books within the preschool to 6th grade range to donate to the Book Drive. This is a wonderful opportunity to not only clean up before the holidays, but to give back to our community. Collection boxes will be located in the courtyard. We have had such a positive response we would like to extend the book drive until this Fri. Dec. 10th. Thank you for partnering with us in this endeavor! Coat Drive
Our annual coat drive is in full swing. If you have a used or new coat please deposit the coat into the large boxes out in front of the traffic line. The boxes will be in front of the school through Dec. 16th.

Student Council
Our new student council is in full swing. Congratulations to these students for being appointed to their new positions:

We also would like congratulate our 36 Student Council Classroom Representatives in grades 4-6. Lastly, we would like to commend all of the boys and girls who ran for office. All of the boys and girls who ran for office showed courage and leadership as evidenced by their amazing posters and speeches. Job well done!!!

Ducky Grams
Ducky Grams will be on sale starting today. Ducks will be for sale Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings before school in the courtyard. Classroom reps and officers will be posting signs and organizing the sales; ducks will be delivered to classrooms the week of December 13th.

10/10 Dunk Squad Assembly
Unfortunately, due to unsatisfactory weather we have had to postpone our Fall Fundraiser 10/10 Dunk Squad Assembly twice. The new date for the assembly is TBD. It will be held after the holiday break. At each assembly Mr. MacNevin will be "silly stringed" because our school met our fundraising goals.
